ACoRN Summer/Winter Schools

The ACoRN summer/winter schools are intended to cover important disciplinary, interdisciplinary or thematic subjects. This may be hot topics, broad topics and peripheral topics, providing specialisation or broadening knowledge to the post-graduate program.

The format will be in terms of highly intensive short courses, with scheduled full-day teaching for up to a week in duration. A course may be offered by an ACoRN expert or jointly by a team of ACoRN experts. For subjects that may lie outside the ACoRN excellence domains, internationally renowned researchers will be invited to teach relevant courses.

ACoRN supports this activity in terms of travel costs for student participation, and in some cases, in terms of course delivery costs.

To be eligible to receive ACoRN support for attending ACoRN schools, the applicant must be a postgraduate research student at an ACoRN member organisation, and be registered as an individual ACoRN member. To be registered, the applicant must be in the ACoRN online database and must have signed the ACoRN Register of Participants form on file with the Local ACoRN Representative.
