Biography

Hajime Suzuki received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan, in 1993 and 1995, respectively, and Ph.D. from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia in 1999.

In 1999, he joined the Division of Telecommunications and Industrial Physics, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia, and was transferred to CSIRO ICT Centre in 2003.

He is an active participant of the Study Group 3 (Radio Propagation) of the International Telecommunication Union Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R), particularly of the Working Party 3K (Point-to-area propagation), and is the chairman of the Subgroup 3K-3 on indoor and short-range propagation.

He is the project leader of Project 3.1, W-CDMA Scanner, of the Australian Telecommunications Cooperative Research Centre (ATcrc).

His current research interests include design, performance study, and modeling of wireless communications systems, with a particular focus on the indoor environment.
