Biography
Wei Ni received the B. Eng and Ph.D degrees in electronic and communication engineering from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. From 2005 to 2007, he was with Alcatel-Lucent. As the research scientist, his research focussed on the physical layer techniques and implementations, such as multi-user detection, distributed antenna system, network MIMO and multi-hop mesh. From 2007 to 2008, he was the senior research scientist in Nokia Devices R&D, undertaking the IMT-advanced research especially on the MAC layer. His research covers multi-hop scheduling, interference mitigation, cooperative relaying, and spectrum sharing. Currently, he is the postdoctoral research fellow in CSIRO ICT Centre, Marsfield, Sydney. The research interests include multi-hop network, limited feedback multi-user MIMO, and cooperative relaying.
